Meet Darren, Amy, and their three beautiful girls: twins Hadley and Abby, who are three, and Sophia, who is five. They came all the way from Lexington for a shoot with me! I had so much fun with them, even though it was freezing outside! The girls were such good sports and Amy and Darren are such cool people. I had lunch with them in between shooting and I love how down to earth they all are. I can’t wait to shoot with you guys again in the future when the weather is nicer!
Anyway, I’m still catching up on blogs. Bear with me!

They are so totally in love. It’s beautiful.

It seems like this is the year for last minute change of plans when it comes to weddings; the weather just hasn’t been at all cooperative for my brides. I was so excited to shoot Camille’s perfect autumn wedding at the Cove this past Saturday. . . but in case anyone missed the memo, they were calling for snow that day. Yes, SNOW. In the middle of October. In Kentucky, where it never snows anymore. Needless to say, the ceremony had to be moved to the reception hall, so that we wouldn’t all freeze to death. Luckily, there was a really pretty spot near the reception hall and I was able to convince the wedding party to venture outside for a few minutes after the ceremony for some autumny goodness. Thanks for freezing your butts off for me, guys! Camille and Willard, your wedding was beautiful and I hope you guys have a happy marriage!

October 23, 2009 - 6:19 am - I'm totally in love with these! Great job! I think this is my favorite from all your October shoots.
Still getting caught up with blogs.
This is Madalyn Jo. She’s five and quite the little beauty. Not to mention an avid lover of animals and nature. She knows all about caterpillars and grand-daddy long legs and isn’t afraid to let them crawl up her arms, either! I had a lot of fun taking her pictures. Even though it was still warm when I took these, the leaves had started changing and I got my first chance to have fun with all of the fall colors! Enjoy!

October 21, 2009 - 1:47 pm - Ariana, WOW!!!The pictures of Madalyn are wonderful! You have truly brought out the best in her!!Beautiful pictures of my little Granddaughter!!!

When it rains, it pours. Or it did last week, at least! Lots of personal issues plus the last week’s rainfest have put me behind in both shooting and blogging. But anyway.
I met with Marie and her three kids last week for a family session. Marie is currently deployed in Iraq and we’ve been talking via email for months about doing pictures when she came in on leave, so I was very excited for this shoot. And let me tell you, Joseph, Eowyn (isn’t that such a pretty name?!), and Natalie are certainly a free spirited bunch! I mostly shot candids of them as it was hard to keep them in one place, much less at the same time! I must say though that I’m delighted with how they turned out. Candid moments are always the best, and the love between these kids and their mom just radiates out of the pictures. I’m glad I got the opportunity to capture it. Marie, I hope you had a safe trip back and I hope you love these as much as I do!

Wow oh wow! I had a great time with these. You know that expression about how pregnant women glow? I totally get it, now. I met Shae, her hubby, and their two golden retrievers (who happen to be the most well behaved dogs EVER) last Saturday and I must say: Shae, you totally rock a baby belly! Seriously! We took a hike to take these pictures and they took me to a gorgeous spot on one of the trails that they walk on. The afternoon light was stunning and I couldn’t have asked for a better shoot! The weather was perfect and everything was beautiful. I can’t wait ’til little Smith gets here! I can tell that they’re going to be great parents!

Beautiful family!

So, you know that TV show House? I started watching all of the seasons a few days ago. . . anyway, it hit me as I was processing these that Shae bears a strong resemblance to Sela Ward, who plays Stacy Warner. Anyone agree with me?

October 21, 2009 - 2:50 am - I think these are my favourite photos that you've ever taken. They're all so beautiful :)

Oh my goodness, October just started and it’s already kicking my butt! I’m so behind on blogging! Hopefully I’ll get caught up tonight. Meet the Hatfields: Kassie, Ethan, and Miranda. I met up with them and their mom Rhonda (who wouldn’t hop into any of the shots!) last week to do some family shots. We lucked out on the weather. It was so sunshiney and pretty, even though it was really damp from the downpour of rain we got last weekend. They were so much fun to shoot! All of these family shoots I’ve been doing lately makes me wish that I had some siblings of my own to joke around with. But I enjoy being an only child, too, so maybe I’ll just keep taking family pictures and capture other people’s sibling love. Haha. Here they are!

October 8, 2009 - 2:01 am - These pictures are GREAT!!!! I would love to do some of my kids.
October 8, 2009 - 1:48 am - I love these! Beautiful!
October 7, 2009 - 6:38 pm - WOW, WHAT BEAUTIFUL PICTURES. WHAT A BEAUTIFUL FAMILY. WHERE ARE MOM AND DAD? ALL THREE OF THEM LOOK SO DIFFERENT. KASSIE LOOKS LIKE JEREMY'S MOM, ETHAN IS JUST LIKE RHONDA, AND MIRANDA IS SIMPLY BEAUTIFUL, I GUESS A MIXTURE OF ALL. THANK YOU FOR SHARING THESE WITH ME.
October 7, 2009 - 11:03 am - Oh my, Ariana, these are beautiful. I cannot wait to see the rest of the photos. Thank you so much!
I’ve kept you waiting long enough, don’tcha think? And the mystery bride is. . . drumroll, please. . . dunanananananana!

Meet the Mystery Bride, Jessica. Isn’t she gorgeous? Here are a few more from her bridal that I couldn’t share before!

And here’s a teaser from the big day (which was this past Friday, by the way). We had no more luck with rain on the wedding day than we did on the day of the bridal shoot but we didn’t let it get us down. Their wedding was so fun and sweet and heartfelt. Thanks for letting me be a part of it! Congratulations Michael and Jessica!

Something old, something new,

Something borrowed, something blue.
I loved the “something blue” that they came up with. The bridesmaids wrote messages on the bottoms of her shoes with a blue sharpie (we all know those things come in handy!). This little message was the greatest!

The happy couple!

Mr. & Mrs. Michael Teaney!
October 2, 2009 - 1:11 pm - Jessica made such a beautiful bride. The wedding was so much fun and these pictures are fantastic!!!
