behind-the-scenes

Ashma // Richmond KY Nepali Bridal Photography

UPDATE: Nepal was struck by a devastating earthquake only a few weeks ago. Having had the opportunity to meet Ashma and her family, & to learn about their beautiful culture and traditions, it breaks my heart all the more to know that the people there are suffering. If you can, please donate to this or any other organization for the relief of Nepal during this hard time.

Over the moon to have had the opportunity to shoot for Ashma and Tyler. They are such a sweet couple and a beautiful love story. Ashma is from Nepal and has fully incorporated her cultural traditions into her engagement and wedding photos. I am thrilled to be a part of this adventure and learn more about her culture as this beautiful Nepali bride marries her handsome Kentucky boy!

Each time I have met with Ashma, I have been absolutely dazzled by her outfits. Last Sunday was no exception; we met to do her bridal shots and wow, oh wow. So stunning.

This gown is velvet, hand beaded, and weighs a ton. Not to mention breathtaking! It's called a Lehenga Choli and the shawl is called a dupatta.

Ashma's outfits came from Kathmandu, Nepal. A special thanks to her best friend Shristi for helping out and to Drew for being the best assistant ever. Here are a couple behind-the-scenes shots, just for fun.
